The world of work in Germany is undergoing change. Digitalization, globalization and the coronavirus pandemic have increased the demands on employees, but have also created new opportunities for flexible working. But how satisfied are employees and employers with this situation? And what are their needs and expectations?
Various aspects, such as being valued, work-life balance, responsibility, stress and commitment, play a crucial role here.
Many employees feel stressed, dissatisfied and emotionally distant from their employer. Reasons for this include increasing demands, the blurring of boundaries between work and private life, and a lack of appreciation.
Simply demanding more commitment from employees is not a solution. On the one hand, this demand cannot be viewed one-sidedly and taken for granted, nor can it ignore the people who are already generally working very hard or measure their performance only in terms of hours spent at their desks.
The younger generation is largely aware of its responsibilities and is seeking to achieve a good work-life balance. Employers need to realize that this generation has different values and goals and that progress means doing different things in different ways. Space must be created to give young people the opportunity to shape their future – and this can be best achieved together.
The modern working world in Germany is and remains exciting. It holds many challenges, but also offers many opportunities. It is important to address the needs of employees and employers and to promote dialogue. Only in this way can a satisfied and productive working society emerge.
In our seminarsfor employees and managers, we address these challenges, promote dialogue between employees and employers, and provide targeted support for the continuous, holistic personal development of all parties.
With our education initiative "100 Champions"
we start with schoolchildren, apprentices and young employees to lay the foundation for successful further development.
