Music Competition

Eligible to participate in the final at the ChampionsFestival from July 10–12, 2026, are the winners of the qualifying rounds for the YOUTH GLOBE Area Events, for which the respective national winners are eligible to compete. These national winners are determined at the national ChampionsNight events from the winners of the regional ChampionsNight events. If only a regional or national ChampionsNight takes place in a country, the winner is eligible to participate in the Area's ChampionsNight. The regional and national YOUTH GLOBE partners organize the preliminary competitions in their respective countries and design the competition rules. YOUTH GLOBE Europa GmbH is the organizer of the Area music competitions and the final. If no regional or national ChampionsNight is held in a country, YOUTH GLOBE Europa GmbH may invite a participant from that country's submitted entries to the Area's ChampionsNight.

Competition Categories

Music Rookies: Do you enjoy making music in your free time and want to showcase your talent? Then "Music Rookies" is the perfect category for you. This category is exclusively for hobby musicians who have not yet performed beyond a regional level. It’s a fair chance for everyone who isn’t deeply involved in the music industry yet.

Music Outriders: Do you have several thousand followers on your social media channels and have already gained experience performing on stage or as street musicians? Then it’s time to compete against like-minded artists in this category.

Music Masters: Now it’s getting professional. Whether you're a vocal coach, professional singer, or music student—anyone who has dedicated their career to music can compete in this category and prove their musical skills.

Participation Requirements

Individual performers and music-loving groups of 2 to 5 people can participate. Age does not matter. All participants may submit only one musical entry, with a group counting as one participant. Songs from all genres are welcome—your creativity has no limits. Submitting multiple songs will disqualify you from the competition.

Submitted musical entries must meet the following criteria:

The song must focus on the theme "Mood."

If sung in a language other than English, an English translation of the lyrics must be provided.

The maximum length must not exceed 4 minutes.

The submitted songs must be composed specifically for this competition. They must not have been previously released, performed, or awarded. After being accepted as a competition entry, they may be used elsewhere.

The songs must align with the values of YOUTH GLOBE (see www.youth-globe.com) and the competition guidelines.

What should you keep in mind when registering?

Registration must be completed electronically via www.youth-globe.com/musiccompetition/registration.

A video in MP4 format must be uploaded through this page.

By submitting the music video, certain rights to the video are transferred to YOUTH GLOBE.

The contact person’s details provided with the musical entry will only be used for communication between the performers and YOUTH GLOBE.

Prizes: The respective regional and national YOUTH GLOBE partners, as well as YOUTH GLOBE International, determine the prize money for participants.

Selection Process and Procedure of the Music Competition

  • The regional YOUTH GLOBE partners determine the winners in each of the three categories within their regions, who then qualify for the national competition. The national YOUTH GLOBE partners, in turn, select the winner in each category, and these entries advance to the Area-level competition. These winners then participate in the final round at the Champions Festival.

  • Additionally, YOUTH GLOBE International organizes a separate competition for each Area until February 28, 2026, for submissions from countries where no YOUTH GLOBE partner is hosting a competition. The winners of this round will compete in the Area-level contest. YOUTH GLOBE reviews the entries to ensure they meet the competition criteria and decides whether to accept them. If accepted, the entry will be published on the platform for this group. The submission deadline for music entries is November 22, 2025. A jury will determine the rankings in the three categories.

  • After an initial review to ensure compliance with the criteria, participants' music entries will be published on a platform (likely YouTube) according to their respective competition level (regional, national, or Area). Participants will be notified via email about the publication. If circumstances arise after publication that contradict the criteria, the entry will be disqualified from the competition.

  • During this period, likes can be collected on the videos. The reach achieved will be taken into account in the final competition rankings.

  • The performers featured in the video must present the piece without additional supporting performers.

  • Due to organizational constraints, only acoustic instruments may be used in live performances. Additional audio tracks to enhance the music submission are permitted.

  • At each competition level, the jury determines the winners in each category. Second and third-place winners will also be awarded.

  • The jury's decision is final and cannot be appealed; legal recourse is excluded.

Prizes will be awarded in each category as follows:
